Couperin 350th Anniversary

On Saturday 10 November 2018, the exact 350th anniversary of the birth of the great French composer François Couperin (1668 – 1733), there was a special musical celebration in Cambridge featuring a complete performance of his keyboard works in one day, on harpsichord, organ, spinet and clavichord.  This included the four books of Pièces de clavecin  (1713, 1717, 1722 and 1730) in order, as well as the two organ masses.

The performers, from the US, France and Britain, were Aline Zylberajch, Rebecca Pechefsky, Mark Kroll, Penelope Cave, Karen Glen, Katarzyna Kowalik, Satoko Doi-Luck, Jonathan Hellyer Jones, Katie De La Matter, Pawel Siwczak, Leonore Hibou, Mark Purcell, Robin Walker, Francis Knights and Dan Tidhar.
